SETH GOLDMAN
OWNER
Seth Goldman founded Active Play in 2018 with the mission to keep our youth active in today's evolving world. Seth spent his childhood on the soccer field, the baseball diamond and in the cul-de-sac, organizing games of street hockey and kick ball with the neighborhood kids. Seth played baseball and travel soccer on group teams growing up. He made the Varsity soccer team in high school as a freshman at Robinson Secondary School, located in Fairfax Virginia. Seth quickly became the team's captain, and was awarded with All Met Player of the Year his senior year.
Seth became a D.C. resident in 2008 when he accepted a scholarship to play soccer at American University while he received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. Seth brings his passion for active play and uses his natural coaching abilities to engage and inspire children today to get out and play.
SARAH REILLY
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Sarah Reilly joined Active Play in 2018, running the companies first after-school enrichment program. At the time, she was a student at American University. Sarah spent all her free time growing the after-school enrichment program offerings throughout DC and Maryland. She is driven by her desire to help children grow into successful, kind, hard-working adults. Sarah is a recent graduate from Columbus School of Law and continues managing the Active Play enrichment offerings.
JONATHAN BOTH
GENERAL MANAGER OF DC HOCKEY LEAGUE
Jonathan Both, or more commonly known as "Coach Jon," joined the Active Play Hockey League as a Coach in March of 2021. He immediately fell in love with the Active Play community of kids, parents, staff and families. Jon has a strong enthusiasm for coaching, hockey and working with kids to help them improve not only as hockey players, but as people off the court as well. He spent the previous 8 years as a Lead Preschool Teacher at the Gan HaYeled Preschool in NW DC.
In June of 2022, Jon excitedly joined the Active Play family full time as the new General Manager of the DC Active Play Hockey League, Active Play After School Hockey Program and Active Play Summer Hockey Camp. He has a 5 year old daughter, Izzy, who plays on the Silver Sharks and also loves everything Active Play has to offer. Jon is looking forward to working with all of the kids and parents for the foreseeable future and continuing to create a fun, safe and competitive hockey program at Active Play.
SYLVIE DUFORT
GENERAL MANAGER OF AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
Sylvie graduated from Northeastern University in 2018 with a B.S. in chemistry. She worked as a consultant in renewable energy immediately after college. Sylvie started with Active Play in 2022 as Assistant General Manager, keen to work with kids and promote enrichment opportunities for children across D.C. She is multilingual and a native French speaker. Her hobbies include outdoor activities/sports, dancing, and singing.
