FOUNDER

Seth Goldman 

Seth Goldman founded Active Play in 2018 with the mission to keep our youth active in today's evolving world. Seth spent his childhood on the soccer field, the baseball diamond and in the cul-de-sac, organizing games of street hockey and kick ball with the neighborhood kids. Seth played baseball and travel soccer on group teams growing up. He made the Varsity soccer team in high school as a freshman at Robinson Secondary School, located in Fairfax Virginia. Seth quickly became the team's captain, and was awarded with All Met Player of the Year his senior year.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER 

Sarah Reilly

Sarah Reilly joined Active Play in 2018, running the companies first after-school enrichment program. At the time, she was a student at American University. Sarah spent all her free time growing the after-school enrichment program offerings throughout DC and Maryland. She is driven by her desire to help children grow into successful, kind, andhard-working adults. Sarah has a law degree from Columbus School of Law, The Catholic University of America and is barred to practice in Pennsylvania.

GENERAL MANAGER OF DC HOCKEY LEAGUE

Jonathan Both

Jonathan Both, or more commonly known as "Coach Jon," joined the Active Play Hockey League as a Coach in March of 2021. He immediately fell in love with the Active Play community of kids, parents, staff and families.  Jon has a strong enthusiasm for coaching, hockey and working with kids to help them improve not only as hockey players, but as people off the court as well. He spent the previous 8 years as a Lead Preschool Teacher at the Gan HaYeled Preschool in NW DC. He has a 5 year old daughter, Izzy, who plays on the Silver Sharks and also loves everything Active Play has to offer.

GENERAL MANAGER OF ENRICHMENT PROGRAMMING 

Sylvie Dufort

Sylvie Dufort joined Active Play in June ‘22. She loves working with Active Play, which nurtures her passion for working with children and creating strong communities. Sylvie manages Active Play’s growing number of enrichment programs on a full-time basis, while also enjoying helping out with the Active Play Hockey League and summer camps and seeing the kids and their families having fun. Sylvie is a graduate from Northeastern University. She is a dedicated member of the team usually seen wearing a smile!
