How is the camp organized throughout the day?

Our morning starts with drop off, followed by morning announcements where we go over camp rules, expectations, introduce our coaches and announce our stations for that morning.

Mornings consist of 3 activities, rotating about every 35-40 minutes.  Our 3rd and final station ends around 11:35.

Following morning activities, half day campers pack up their belongings and get ready for dismissal while our full day campers sit with their friends and coaches and eat lunch.

Our afternoon is free choice where coaches set up different games and activities based on what the campers enjoy: tennis, wall ball, fencing, hockey, bracelet making, climbing trees, go karts, etc...

How are campers organized?

We group the campers together by their age group: 3-4 year olds (yellow bananas), 5 year olds (green kale), 6-7 year olds (orange oranges), 8-9 year olds (blue blueberries) and 10-12 year olds (pink grapefruits).

What are the camp drop off and pick up times?

Accepted Answer

Our camp drop off is from 8:45-9:00.  Our carpool pick up for half day campers begins at 11:40am and ends at Noon.  Our pick up carpool for full day campers begins at 2:40pm and ends at 3pm.  We begin late charges at $1 per minute promptly at 3pm.

What meals are offered for camp lunch?

Our camp lunches vary from day to day with campers always having multiple options.  Lunches include: chicken nuggets, peanut butter and jelly, turkey and cheese sandwiches, cheese sandwiches, pizza day, fruit, goldfish, crackers, juice boxes and a variety of snacks.

Question 5

I signed up for camp lunch.  Do I still need to provide a snack for my camper(s)?

Yes!  All campers eat a snack from 10:45-11am. We do NOT provide snacks, so please be sure to send your camper(s) with a snack from home!

Question 6

My camper doesn't need a full week of camp. Do you do drop in days at a prorated cost?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  We can accommodate campers for a shortened week or even single days of camp.  The cost for a full day of camp is $100 (8:45-3pm) and the cost for a half day of camp is $65 (8:45-12pm). Question 7

I need to cancel or swap weeks of summer camp.  What is your cancellation policy and how do I do that?

We ask that if you are going to cancel a week of camp that you give us a few weeks notice and we'll happily refund you in full.  If you need to switch a week of camp, email Jon (jon@activeplayllc.com)(mailto:jon@activeplayllc.com) and we can make any changes you need to your camp itinerary.

Question 8

I cannot pick up my camper(s) by 3pm, do you have after care?

Yes!  We run aftercare from 3-5pm Monday through Friday each week of camp.

Question 9

What if my child is alongside friends in a different age group?

Accepted Answer

Our goal is to make sure groups of friends are together. We are happy to make accommodations so friends have as much fun together as possible!

Question 10

My camper left their water bottle and t-shirt at camp.  Is there a lost and found?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  We collect all the water bottles, clothing and items left behind and have them in one of our vans.  If you are missing something, please check with an Active Play Camp Coach and they will help you retrieve your items.

Question 11

My camper told me there is a weekly talent show.  Can they bring props from home to participate?

Accepted Answer

Yes!  Every Wednesday after lunch we run a talent show!  Campers may use camp equipment or bring items from home.  For example, if your camper has a magic trick, they can bring their props from home to use!
